Jakarta City Council Vice Chairman, Wibi Andrino supports the efforts of the Jakarta Environment Agency in addressing air pollution. One of the initiatives being planned is to add Air Quality Monitoring Stations (SPKUs).

I agree. What they (the Environment Agency) have done is good

Thus far, Jakarta has 111 air quality monitoring stations, up from just five. Jakarta wants to emulate Paris and Bangkok in addressing air pollution with data-driven approaches.

"I agree. What they (the Environment Agency) have done is good," he expressed, at City Council Building, Thursday (3/20).

He also urged them to continue completing the addition of low-cost air quality sensors with a total of 1,000 air quality monitoring stations.

"Keep going, okay?," he added.

Another support also came from Jakarta City Council Commission D Secretary, Habib Muhammad bin Salim Alatas.

This step is the right approach to address the increasingly concerning issue of air pollution. By having more monitoring stations, Jakarta will obtain more comprehensive and accurate data regarding the sources of pollution and their spread patterns.

"This will enable the Jakarta Government to take more targeted and effective measures," he said.
