Jakarta City Council Commission C Member, Josephine Simanjuntak appealed Perumda Pasar Jaya to renovate Sunan Giri Market in Rawamangun, Pulogadung, East Jakarta and Gardu Asem Market, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

"Sunan Giri Market renovation has been proposed since last year," Josephine said, Wednesday (3/19).

She also received reports of complaints from Sunan Giri Market visitors. She added that his market is very popular with mothers who like to sew clothes.

"I've been there many times. The condition is worrying," she added.

Josephine continued Gardu Asem Market also needs renovation to attract more visitors.

"It is proposed by mothers," she continued.

Jakarta City Council C Commission Member, Brando Susanto hoped Perumda Pasar Jaya increases the quality of its 157 markets.

"Some of the markets must be modern," he stated.
