The Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and Small and Medium Enterprises Agency (PPKUKM) has tightened supervision of the subsidized cooking oil product, Minyakita. This is aimed at ensuring that the quality and measurements meet the standards.
Supervision has been conducted on two re-packaging business actors
Jakarta Governor, Pramoni Anung expressed, the supervision was conducted as a follow-up to the letter from the Directorate General of Consumer Protection and Trade Order of the Ministry of Trade.
The monitoring results indicate violations of measurements in several Minyakita products circulating in the market. The supervision was conducted on two repackaging businesses, namely PT Binamas Karya Fausta and CV Surya Agung.
"Supervision has been conducted on two re-packaging business actors of the Minyakita brand cooking oil, namely PT Binamas Karya Fausta and CV Surya Agung from March 10 to 11, 2025," he expressed, Thursday (3/13).
He explained CV Surya Agung repackaged cooking oil from PT Asianagro Agungjaya. While PT Binamas Karya Fausta repackaged cooking oil from PT Sinar Mas Agro Resources & Technology Tbk.
Then the testing of 80 samples of one-liter Minyakita bottles at CV Surya Agung showed results that met standards, but at PT Binamas Karya Fausta, discrepancies were found.
"Testing has been conducted on 80 samples of Minyakita in one-liter packaging at the CV Surya Agung location with accepted results, and at PT Binamas Karya Fausta location with rejected results," he explained.
Supervision was also spotted at the Sinar Matahari store, Sumur Batu, Central Jakarta, in collaboration with Polda Metro Jaya. As a result, 12 samples from the manufacturer CV Rabbani Bersaudara, Tangerang, were rejected, as they exceeded the permitted dosage tolerance of 15 ml.
"The average content or volume of the tested goods is 795.4 ml and the average difference or shortfall is 204.96 ml," he continued.
He also ensured the availability of Minyakita in a safe condition to meet the needs of the community. According to data from the Ministry of Trade, Minyakita production in the last three months (January 1 - March 11, 2025) reached 20,453 tons.
Out of a total of 20,453 tons of Minyakita that has been produced, 9,899 tons have been received by retailers. The remaining 10,544 tons are in the distribution process. With an estimated community demand of 24,932 tons, the stock of Minyakita in Jakarta is in a safe condition with a fulfillment rate of 80-100 percent for the period of January 1 to March 11, 2025.
Based on the monitoring results, the stock available at Food Station is 42,720 units, and there will be an additional supply of 50,400 units or 4,200 cartons on March 13, 2025.
"Based on the monitoring results conducted at Jakarta-Banten Bulog Regional Division regarding Minyakita stock in Jakarta-Banten, there are approximately 192,915 liters of Minyakita," he closed.
