Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin supports the Jakarta Environmental Agency in managing food waste of Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.

Khoirudin said that the food waste needs to be managed effectively and utilized optimally.

"The food waste management needs to be widened," he said, Monday (1/13).

According to him, the organic waste still have high value as it turns into fertilizer or other useful products.

"Evaluation needs to be run also. Sometimes the program and technical are good, but the system implementer also forget something," he added.

As for information, Jakarta Environmental Agency stated its readiness to support the MBG program by managing the food waste produced by the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG)'s kitchen and school.

The food waste will be taken to 3R Dump Site and distributed to Maggot Black Soldier Fly Bioconversion activists.
