Some 18 principals of state elementary, middle, and high schools in Jakarta participated in the E-Monitoring and Evaluation (E-Monev) presentation stage on the seventh floor of the Jakarta Information Commission Office, Graha Mental Spiritual Building, Central Jakarta, Friday (11/1).
Jakarta KI Vice Chairperson and also E-Monev 2024 Assessment Team, Luqman Hakim Arifin, said the series of public body E-Monev had been held from October 21 to 25.
"Access is the keyword in managing public information services," he expressed, Saturday (11/2).
Hence, every public body, including state schools in Jakarta, should have public information services that are easily accessible to the public.
"The ease of access is done both offline and online. Even, public schools need to maximize websites and social media as a means of providing information services, because visits are much higher than offline," he explained.
He explained several things were done to maximize public information services online, including: establishing and informing the official social media accounts of school public bodies.
"Public bodies may not have more than one social media account on one platform, because it will confuse the public when they want to access and request information," he explained.
He added the school's public agency also provides information about the operating hours of public information services, telephone/WA numbers, emails, and linktrees that connect to the various service channels it has.
"All services are interconnected and easily accessible. We request information in the PPID service features, starting from Service SOPs, DIP, DIK, to public agency profiles complete with," he added.
Another Assessment Team, Eka Nova Yudha highlighted equally important public information announced on the school PPID website and social media, namely information on the School Operational Assistance (BOS) budget report and procurement of goods and services..
According to him, both of these pieces of information were often the object of school public information disputes at Jakarta Information Commission.
"Therefore, we ask that related information also be announced," he uttered.
