West Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency is routinely pruning trees to anticipate fallen trees.

Today's pruning was run on Jalan Daan Mogot KM 11, Kedaung Kali Angke Urban Village and Jalan Outer Ring Road, Cengkareng Barat Urban Village. On that occasion, 11 shady trees were pruned.

"The pruning was part of monitoring or resident's request in order to anticipate fallen trees," said Romy Sidharta, West Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Thursday (10/24).

Romy added the pruning was run in Kedaung Kali Angke and Cengkareng Barat Urban Villages. Not only too shady, the trees were also covering electricity cable and public street light.

"The pruning was run for the sake of resident safety," he added.

Ali Imran (41), the security office of a campus on Jalan Outer Ring Road, appreciated the tree pruning.

"Now the area looks tidier. We're also feel safe," he admitted.
