The West Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency is currently repairing the channel on Jalan Akasia Dalam, RT 15/12, Cengkareng Timur UrbanVillage, Cengkareng Sub-district.
After it is done, the water will flow smoothly into the Apuran River
West Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head, Purwanti expressed the repairs were done by replacing the sheet pile with river stones and installing a 40-meter-long 80x80 centimeter U-ditch.
"Then later the roof of the channel will be covered using a manhole cover to make it safe,” she expressed, Thursday (9/26).
She explained it was targeted to be completed in mid-October 2024.
"After it is done, the water will flow smoothly into the Apuran River," she added.
The repair received appreciation from RT 15/12 Chairman, Cengkareng Timur Urban Village, Sukarjo (65).
"Hopefully, it can smoothen the flow of the water, as well as safe from the threat of collapse," he hoped.
