The West Jakarta administration, planted 996 chili seeds on Jakarta Provincial Government asset land, Gulkarmat Agency Complex, Jalan Joglo Raya, RT 11/04, Joglo Urban Village, Kembangan Sub-district.

West Jakarta Mayor, Uus Kuswanto stated the chili seeds was planted by the West Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency (KPKP) and farmer groups in the local area. It was executed on a 5,000-hectare land in the mini food estate program.

"This is done in the context of food security in Jakarta," he expressed, Tuesday (4/2).

Besides chili plants, on this land, onions and corn were also planted.

East West Seed Indonesia Company CSR Representative, Sayu uttered her party provided assistance in the form of 5,250 sweet corn seeds, 30 grams of onions, 1,250 cayenne peppers, and 1,500 curly chilies.

"Hopefully, it can be useful for residents and supporting food security in Jakarta," he said.
