The East Jakarta Environment Sub-agency is about to build a Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (TPS 3R) Waste Processing Site in RW 04, Rawa Terate Urban Village, Cakung, which aims to handle waste in Rawa Terate and Jatinegara sub-districts

East Jakarta LH Sub-agency Head, Eko Gumelar said the plan to build TPS 3R was discussed last year and would be realized this year. The planning and design had been carried out by the agency and all that remained was the work by the unit he led.

According to him, the design concept for TPS 3R was the same as the one in the Kebersihan Complex, RW 09, Ciracas Urban Village. Currently, the implementation is still waiting for the auction process first.

"TPS 3R in Rawa Terate has a capacity of 25 tons per day where it aims to handle waste in Rawa Terate and Jatinegara," he expressed, Monday (1/29).

If it was implemented, East Jakarta would have TPS 3R in Ujung Menteng, Ciracas, and Rawa Terate urban villages.

Rawa Terate Urban Village Head, Daniel Wisnu Parulian uttered TPS 3R has been prepared to handle overflowing waste along Jalan KRT Radjiman.

He added the same action would also be realized in RW 04, 05, and 06, while RW 01, 02, and 03 already have the TPS 3R.

"Hopefully, it can be built quickly in RW 04 because the land is already available," he concluded.
