South Jakarta Social Sub-agency distributes assistance for flood survivor in Cilandak Barat Urban Village, Cilandak Sub-district, since Sunday (1/7).

Sub-agency's Head, Bernard Tambunan, said the assistance is distributed quickly to accommodate resident's daily needs.

"We distribute logistic including food up to next Wednesday," he said, Monday (1/8).

The logistic that was already distributed are 50 pcs of blanket, two boxes of biscuit, 10 boxes of instant noodle, 10 boxes of mineral water, one box of cooking oil, and three sacks of rice.

"We also provide 300 boxes of food by three times a day. Additional assistance will be distributed after we cooperate with urban village," he added.

Meanwhile, Cilandak Barat Urban Village Head, Ilham Prasetyo, explained that flood on Jalan Mandala II Bawah, RT 08/02 was caused by the overflowing of Krukut River. As many as 150 families were impacted.

"Thanks God the flood already receded fully since dawn. The logistic was also already distributed," he explained.

Related to the assistance distribution, he continued, his side has cooperated with South Jakarta Social Sub-agency and local BPBD. Anticipation and preparadness remain established up to three days ahead since extreme weather is still predicted to occur.

"Thanks to units that are already helping us much," he closed.
