To control air pollution in Jakarta, the emissions test is being held in the CNI Puri Kembangan area, Kembangan Sub-district, West Jakarta.

"It has been ongoing from 8.30 AM to 10 AM. To optimize it, as many as 50 joint personnel have been alerted to the location, such as the Environment Sub-agency, Transportation Sub-agency, police, and volunteers," expressed Environmental Impact Monitoring and Control Division Head, Hery Permana, Wednesday (11/1).

West Jakarta Metro Resort Police Traffic Management, Guard, Escort and Patrol Unit Chief, AKP Karta stated his party managed to control 95 two-wheeled, four-wheeled vehicles, and trucks. 30 diesel vehicles were netted, with details that 26 passed the test and four failed. There were 30 petrol vehicles, 26 passed the test and four failed, while the 35 motorbikes, 34 passed the test and one failed.

"Four-wheeled vehicles that fail the test will be fined Rp 500,000 and motorbikes Rp 250,000," he added.

Tomu (54), a diesel four-wheeled vehicle driver owner who was netted in the raid, revealed that his car did not pass the test when being tested.

"My vehicle didn't pass the test. But, I fully support it to create cleaner air quality," he stressed.
