Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, visited the Nagrak Low-Cost Apartment (Rusunawa) in Marunda, Cilincing, North Jakarta, Thursday (10/26). On that occasion, he interacted and saw the condition of public facilities used by residents.

He collected the rusunawa residents' and public figures' aspirations regarding improving various basic and supporting facilities as part of their daily activities, including education and health facilities, WiFi, places to sell for MSMEs, and transportation access.

"I checked with several residents who moved from Marunda to live here temporarily, they have only been here for two months. Then several things that are of concern to the Jakarta Provincial Government, include sales places here that have not been facilitated, residents' complaints about the availability of wifi and health centers," he expressed, in the Jakarta Provincial Government's press release.

He also assessed that additional health facilities urgently needed to be realized soon considering the condition of Nagrak Rusunawa which has 14 towers. According to him, health facilities must be easily accessible to all residents and library facilities would be improved to foster a reading culture.

"Complaints are natural for the most basic of life and we try to meet these needs. There is already one health center. But, it's still not enough because there are 14 towers. If it is only one, it is too far for residents here. So, we provide a mobile health center service temporarily, including business location," he added.

Through PT Transjakarta, he also would fix school bus operational schedules to two shifts, namely from 5 AM and 6 AM. It also aimed at facilitating transportation access for rusunawa residents.

"There is access to school bus transportation, it starts at 6.15 AM. The residents' input was that they requested for 5.10 AM, as there are schoolchildren who attend school every morning. Because of that, I'll ask for two shifts, 5 AM and 6 AM. We will also have Transjakarta bus stops later," he explained.

At the same time, he and his staff also planted 200 trees type Pule, Flamboyan, and Spathodea, to beautify the rusunawa environment.

"We synergize with PT Astra, where they have contributed and supported our efforts to improve air quality in Jakarta through tree planting. Hopefully, it can be realized every month in Jakarta, but rather a shared obligation," he stressed.

It was also attended by City Secretary's Development and Environment Assistant, Afan Adriansyah; Jakarta Parks and City Forest Agency Head, Bayu Meghantara; Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo; and North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim.
