The Jakarta Library and Archives Agency (Dispusip) together with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), inaugurated the KPK Corner at the Jakarta Library in the Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) Complex, Cikini, Menteng, Central Jakarta.
Its existence adds to the book collection in the Jakarta Library
Jakarta Dispusip Head, Firmansyah said the KPK Corner started from the desire of his staff and the KPK to educate and socialize anti-corruption to library visitors.
"Its existence adds to the book collection in the Jakarta Library which already has 418,000 copies or 200,000 book titles," he expressed, Thursday (10/5).
His party would continue to synergize with the KPK, especially in using library facilities for positive activities such as reading poetry and others.
“Because this is part of literacy. In the digital era, there is a lot of information that we should study," he expressed.
KPK Public Relation Bureau Head, Yuyuk Andriati Iskak added that KPK Corner is currently available in five universities in Bandung, Bogor, Yogyakarta, and Sumatra. Specifically in Jakarta, it was established in collaboration with the Jakarta Dispusip.
“We see that this library is always busy with visitors. Besides college students, some students and housewives visit here," she explained.
With a high number of visitors, the outreach in providing anti-corruption literacy was deemed very effective in this library owned by the Jakarta Government.
"Through libraries, we can provide education and prevent corruption through literacy," she stated.
