The Tantangan Baca Jakarta (Reading Challenge) returns in the third quarter, after being successfully held in the first and second quarters, involving people of various ages.
It is held in mid-September with the reading theme " Cita-cita"
Jakarta Library and Archives Agency Head, Firmansyah said Baca Jakarta in the third quarter is a means of cultivating a love of reading.
"It is held in mid-September with the reading theme "Cita-cita" (aspirations). Hopefully, it can be followed by people of all ages, as was held in the previous quarter," he expressed, in the Jakarta Provincial Government's press release, Friday (9/29).
He added the digital booklet, which is the main instrument in the Baca Jakarta, continues to be developed in a bid to avoid obstacles faced in the previous Baca Jakarta.
"Participants who successfully fill out the booklet in full have the opportunity to get attractive goodie bags and various types of door prizes that have been prepared by the Jakarta Library and Archives Agency," he added.
For those of you who are interested in taking part in Baca Jakarta, you can visit the Perpustakaan Jakarta Website at https://perpustakaan.jakarta.go.id/ to register.
The Jakarta Library and Archives Agency is collaborating with various parties, namely Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD), BUMD, and private sector to help make the Baca Jakarta event a success this time.
With more participants, hopefully, it could improve people's reading and writing skills, foster a culture of reading and build a culture of literacy from an early age, as well as build reading activities into a joint movement between the government and society.
Aside that, it was also expected to support the city of Jakarta as a world city of literature.
