Today's child health program is focused on teeth

Jakarta DWP Vice Chairman, Suniyati Sigit said he said the social service action is one of the routine agendas every year.

"Today's child health program is focused on teeth. This is very important. If children's teeth are unhealthy, it can have an impact on their growing," he expressed, Monday (7/10).

She went on to say that the program targeted 100 children from the Primary 1 Children's Orphanage. It was also supported by South Jakarta Health Sub-agency which involved eight health workers from Mampang, Setiabudi, and Tebet health centers.

"Examined starting from dental hygiene. If there are cavities, they will be referred to the nearest health center," shr explained.

She hoped that it could be done every year with a different theme and more goals.

"Besides health, we will also take them on educational tours," she added.

Tami (12), one of the children from the Anak Putra Utama 1 Social House was happy to take part in this dental examination service. Moreover, the dentists and health workers in this activity were considered very kind and friends.

"My teeth are nice and even. But, there is one tooth that is hollow. I was also asked to go straight to the health center to fill my teeth, thus I don't get sick anymore," she stated.
