The Jakarta Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (PM-PTSP) keeps encouraging the development of MSMEs by carrying out various innovations to facilitate residents and prospective entrepreneurs, as well as MSMEs to process permit and non-permit.

Business permits are very important in providing guarantees of legal protection for MSMEs.

By having a business permit, entrepreneurs can carry out business operations safely and comfortably so they do not have to worry about other threats that often befall businesses without permits, such as controlling or demolition. Aside that, the permit can also facilitate business development.

As experienced by one of the entrepreneurs, Erna Sari, a seller of Ayam Penyet Bandung (the fried chicken is usually accompanied with kremes, a crunchy condiment). This woman, who has been in the culinary business for more than 13 years in Jakarta said that apart from continuing to innovate in running a business, the permit is no less important to her.

According to her, business legality is one of the main factors in helping the food and beverage business run smoothly. Moreover, when the product is ready for distribution.

"Complete permit is also one of the added values for a product, namely as a guarantee of quality to customers. Additionally, businesses in the food and beverage sector must also be completed with various certifications or non-permits to ensure product safety and quality," she expressed, Monday (2/20).

She shared her experience when proposing licensing for Ayam Penyet Bandung. She admitted she was very satisfied with the work of the Jakarta PM-PTSP Agency officers who were so quick to process their business permits at that time. She said she received good service from officials when processing permits.

"Alhamdulillah (Thank God), it's very easy for me to make an MSME permit or NIB (Business Identification Number). It's enough for one day to make it, even one hour straight for me to receive it. It's really easy, no hassle, practical, everything is assisted by the Jakarta PM-PTSP Agency, which is so extraordinary," she explained.

She assessed that a business permit is one of the keys for MSMEs to be able to continuously develop their business on a larger scale. Through her business permit, she received assistance in an integrated entrepreneurship program organized by the government, both Ministries/Institutions, and Jakarta Provincial Government.

"Currently, the business that I'm doing has recorded a turnover of Rp 4 million per day by opening various branches in Jakarta and its surrounding areas and even one of the processed food products has penetrated the foreign market," she closed.
