Residents living in Kampung Gembira Gembrong, RW 01 Cipinang Besar Utara (CBU), Jatinegara, East Jakarta get capital assistance for entrepreneurship.

East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar stated that around 13 residents had been given a place of business in the Gembrong Baru Market.

"They also received capital assistance of Rp 4 million each," he said, Sunday (10/9).

According to him, those who have entrepreneurship had also previously undergone entrepreneurship training while at the North Cipinang Besar Flat (Cibesut)

After residents returned to their respective homes with new buildings, they were not allowed to open a business in their houses. It was because the housing was built for residential purposes only and became a pilot program for healthy housing.

"They can sell snacks at home. Because this is a pilot area for a residential area that was originally densely packed with slums, it becomes clean and healthy," he stressed.
