Toddler Milk Aid Distributed to 16 Urban Villages in East Jakarta

As many as 16 urban villages spread over East Jakarta received two tons of liquid milk aid for toddlers packaged in 5,424 boxes, on Thursday (11/25). It an aid from PT Frisian Flag Indonesia (FFI) through its CSR program.

The aid itself was symbolically given by PT FFI Corporate Affairs Director, Hendry Saputro to East Jakarta TP PKK Chairwoman, Diah Anwar in the pattern room of the mayor's office. As planned, the milk would be distributed to toddlers through 16 urban village offices.

East Jakarta TP PKK Chairwoman, Diah Anwar said, it was very helpful in preventing stunting cases in toddlers. She explained, the pandemic effect had a negative impact on the community, which affected the nutritional intake of toddlers, especially those in need.

"The role of the business world like this is highly expected in handling child growth and development, especially in preventing stunting cases in children. So thank you for the milk," she said.

She went on to say that the milk would be distributed to Kampung Melayu, Cipinang Besar Utara, Bidara Cina, Klender, Pulogadung, Cipinang,Tengah, Pulogebang, Pondok Kelapa, Cakung Timur, Malaka Jaya, Cipinang Besar Selatan, Pondok Bambu, Pondok Kopi, Balimester, and Cipinang Muara urban villages.

PT FFI Corporate Affairs Director, Hendru Saputro uttered, the action is being promoted continuously to tackle the stunting problem in East Jakarta.

"We are very open to collaboration and partnering in realizing a healthy city, including preventing the occurrence of stunting cases in children under five in East Jakarta," he stated.
