The odd-even traffic regulation is applied every Friday to Sunday at 12:00-18:00 around Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) area.
Starting today, odd-even traffic will be applied at TMII area every Friday-Sunday at 12:00-18:00
East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency (Sudinhub)'s Monitoring and Control Section Head, Riky Erwinda stated, odd-even traffic regulation is applied in areas around tourist attractions, in this case TMII, to avoid crowds and traffic congestion because PPKM Level 3 is currently being implemented.
"Starting today, odd-even traffic will be applied at TMII area every Friday-Sunday at 12:00-18:00. It is to prevent crowds in TMII area," he said, Friday (9/17).
According to him, odd-even traffic regulation is implemented in accordance with Jakarta Governor's Decree No. 1096/2021 on Enforcement of PPKM Level 3 COVID-19, where in order to prevent crowds it is necessary to apply odd-even policy. This policy had been jointly discussed at Polda Metro Jaya Headquarters on Thursday (9/17) afternoon.
In implementing odd-even policy, there are 40 joint personnel from East Jakarta Sudinhub assisted by TNI/Police to carry out monitoring. They will be on standby in TMII entrance gates, near U-turn in front of Purna Bakti Budaya Museum.
"If there are vehicles that enter TMII which don't match the odd-even date, they will be asked to make a U-turn," he asserted.
Moreover, his side also prepared two tow trucks to anticipate vehicle breakdowns or illegal parking on the road side.
"We have installed four information banners regarding odd-even policy implementation in TMII area," he conveyed.
