PPAPP Agency Holds Online Bazaar to Help Marketing Jakpreneurs Products

Jakarta Empowerment, Child Protection, and Population Control (PPAPP) Agency will hold online bazaar in turns in five municipalities and Thousand Islands Regency on September 9-23

Each region holds bazaar for 5-7 days with total 60 local Jakpreneurs or fostered micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The products displayed are varied, from culinary, fashion, to handicraft.

Jakarta PPAPP Agency Head, Tuty Kusumawati informed online bazaar for West Jakarta will be held on September 13-18. While on September 15-19 in South Jakarta, September 20-23 in North Jakarta, and September 21-24 in Thousand Islands.

"Online bazaar for Central Jakarta and East Jakarta have been held. People who are interested to buy Jakpreneur's products can access website tokko.io/ebaz21," she said, Tuesday (9/14).

She explained that product marketing was under tremendous pressure during the pandemic, especially products from MSMEs, including Jakpreneurs.

According to her, opportunity for consumers and producers to make direct purchase transactions is very limited due to provisions imposed during COVID-19 pandemic, especially in complying with health protocols.

"Current condition force us to look for the best alternative in marketing the products. we see online marketing trend as a breakthrough to overcome the current situation," she conveyed.

She assessed that Jakpreneurs under Jakarta PPAPP Agency shouldn't just give up on the current pandemic situation. Various activities to develop Jakpreneur program continue to be intensified, especially in marketing. Although it is still difficult to market products directly, Jakpreneurs under PPAPP Agency will continue to sell products online.  

With experience in organizing previous online bazaars, it gave enthusiasm and motivation to Jakpreneurs in carrying out online bazaar in this month.

"Online bazaar is deliberately carried out per region in hope that it will be easier to coordinate its implementation. Each regions will be encouraged to be creative in displaying products of their Jakpreneurs and managed by sub-department team who assisted the Jakpreneurs," she mentioned.
