North Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency conducted door-to-door rabies vaccination against animals that could transmit rabies in Rawa Badak Selatan Urban Village, Koja Sub-district, North Jakarta from August 31 to September 2, 2021. There were 244 animals that had been vaccinated in this activity.
This vaccination is given for free
North Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Unang Rustanto mentioned, rabies vaccination was conducted to protect residents and pets from rabies transmission.
"This vaccination is given for free," he added, Friday (9/3).
In details, from total 244 animals, there were 70 dogs, 167 cats, and 7 other animals that had been vaccinated against rabies.
"Usually we conduct the activity in RW offices, but this time we conduct it door-to-door by involving 4 personnel and regional administrators. We want to continue maintaining Jakarta as free rabies city," he said.
