Central Jakarta Government held coordination meeting on Monday (8/23) to set a strategy to accelerate vaccination progress in 11 urban villages that were still categorized as red zone. This meeting was led by Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma and attended by 11 urban village heads, 3 sub-district heads, and health center heads in red zone areas.

Vaccination rate in 11 of 44 sub-districts in Central Jakarta are still below 60 percent

Dhany mentioned that vaccination rate in 11 of 44 sub-districts in Central Jakarta are still below 60 percent or categorized as red zone category. Those are Kacang, Kebon Melati, Petamburan, Gelora, Kramat, and Cempaka Baru Urban Villages.

"We ask urban village, sub-district and health center heads in red zone areas to develop an integrated strategy to increase vaccination rates in the regions," he stated.

According data from Committee for COVID-19 Handling and National Economic Recovery (KPC PEN), he added, vaccination rate in Central Jakarta reaches more than 100 percent. However, vaccination rate according to population data based on ID number (NIK) has not been achieved yet.

"We will encourage urban villages and health center teams to achieve vaccination target that has been set," he said.
