The Covid-19 corpse burial team in Klender Urban Village, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta is on standby 24 hours in order to quickly help family members who died at home due to Covid-19.
They are ready to help residents for 24 hours a day
Klender Urban Village Head, Tri Budiyanto said, they consisted of eight PPSU members and four local residents who had been trained by the sub-district Puskesmas. They were divided into three work shifts.
"They are ready to help residents for 24 hours a day," he said, Wednesday (7/28).
According to him, two cases of citizen deaths had been handled when the pandemic hit Jakarta at the first time. They put the bodies into coffins under health protocols and brought them to the Rorotan TPU, North Jakarta.
"At that time, the team gets assistance and guidance from the Duren Sawit Sub-district Health Center officers," he explained.
For the needs of ambulances and coffins, his party received assistance from CSR.
"Currently we have five coffins that will be used when needed," he concluded.
