The West Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency has noted that officers had stopped around 31,415 vehicles and instructed drivers to go back to where they come from along July 3-6. They were stopped at two checkpoints spread across Jalan Joglo Raya, Kembangan and Jalan Daan Mogot, Kalideres, West Jakarta.

Those two points are of more concern, because of the high volume of passing vehicles

"Those two points are of more concern, because of the high volume of passing vehicles. It can even cause queues of vehicles up to 150 meters long," expressed West Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Head, Erwansyah, Wednesday (7/7).

Of the 31,415 vehicles, 26,497 were two-wheeled vehicles, 4,401 were four-wheeled vehicles, 115 were three-wheeled vehicles, 67 were big-sized buses 83 were medium-sized buses, 79 were small-sized buses and 173 were goods transport cars.

In the field, he explained many motorists tried to argue with officers as they were reluctant to be turned back for various reasons.

"This is a government regulation, so it must be implemented by giving understanding and explaining the applicable regulations to motorists," he said.

By so, they could comply with the regulations that apply during PPKM Darurat to contain the spread of Covid-19.
