9,605 Vehicles in East Jakarta Border Area Told to Turn Back

As many as 9,605 vehicles were asked to turn around by joint personnel at three checkpoints in border areas of East Jakarta. This figure was taken from initial data on the start of blocking activity in Jakarta on July 3 until this Tuesday (7/6) at 8:00

During Emergency PPKM, joint team are deployed to block vehicles at three checkpoints

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency's Monitoring and Controlling Section Head, Riky Erwinda informed, vehicles are not allowed to enter Jakarta during Emergency PPKM period on July 3-20 if they don't have valid reasons and are excluded from applicable regulations.

"During Emergency PPKM, joint team are deployed to block vehicles at three checkpoints in border areas of East Jakarta. It applies to all types of vehicles. So far, 9,605 vehicles have been told to turn around," he conveyed.

According to him, 9,605 vehicles that were turned back consisting of 5,835 two-wheeled vehicles; 18 three-wheeled vehicles; 3,602 four-wheeled vehicles and 150 vehicles with more than four wheels.

Three checkpoints in East Jakarta are located on Jl. Raya Inspeksi Kalimalang, Lampiri Duren Sawit; Jl. Raya Bekasi, under JORR Cacing Toll Road. Access to Jakarta via those roads is completely closed but the opposite direction to Bekasi is opened.

Next, the last checkpoint is on Jl. Raya Bogor, in front of Panasonic factory. Both directions on this road are completely closed. There are two armored vehicles belonging to TNI which have been alerted at checkpoints.
