West Jakarta Mayor, Uus Kuswanto calls on all his staff, from city to urban village level to participate in socializing the public school enrollment (PPDB) for the 2021-2022 academic year to parents of students.

This is very important thus the community can really know what the policy of the local government is

He conveyed the statement at the Wijaya Kusuma Room on the 2nd floor of West Jakarta Mayor Office Building A, on Tuesday (5/25). It was participated by sub-district heads, urban village heads, PKK cadres and so forth.

"This is very important thus the community can really know what the policy of the local government is," he expressed.

He disclosed that this year's PPDB was further refined with the issuance of Gubernatorial Regulation number 32/2021 on Technical Guidelines for PPDB. He assessed, there were several points or changes that were very supportive of and concerned about the needs of the community, especially residents whose children were going to school, such as no admission of new students from outside Jakarta and prioritized for those whose houses were close to the school

"It is set in the regulation already," he stated.

It was done in order to open a bigger, wider opportunity for Jakartans to be able to enter public schools that truly lead to justice.

He went on to say that it was very important thus they could understand, be open and transparent thus no more residents would be late with information, especially regarding changes in this year's PPDB system.

"This must also be promoted, thus those who have children who want to go to school can really be accommodated as a whole. I'm sure and believe that this improvement will help the community even more," he uttered.

As for the information, the public school enrollment will be opened on June 7. It can be accessible via https://ppdb.jakarta.go.id and complaint services at telephone numbers 021-39504053, 021-39504050.
