The Kelapa Dua Park, which is located in Kelapa Dua Urban Village, Kebon Jeruk Sub-district, West Jakarta has been revitalized.
"The first point is already done. Now we are still focused on the second point as wide as 700 square meters and is targeted to be complete in two weeks ahead
West Jakarta Parks and Urban Forest Sub-agency Head, Jauhar Arifin disclosed, it was focused on two points. The first point was in a 100-square-meter park and the second point was in a 700-square-meter park.
"The first point is already done. Now we are still focused on the second point as wide as 700 square meters and is targeted to be complete in two weeks ahead," he expressed, Thursday (5/20).
As for the park as wide as 700 square meters, he explained, residents requested for a place to play for children with facilities such as swings, park benches and so on.
"So we built a swing, a park bench made from the wood we recycled from pruned trees," he said.
As planned, it would be planted with various plants, such as tabebuya, yellow dendron, frangipani, gold teak and elephant grass.
"To do it, we send 20 officers plus 3 trucks consisting of one haul truck and two tank trucks for watering the plants," he stated.
Aside that, other facilities such as garden fences would also be repaired and repainted to make it look more beautiful.
"Hopefully locals can maintain and care for the park thus its existence is not easily damaged," he hoped.
