Jakarta Vice Governor, Ahmad Riza Patria (Ariza) monitored COVID-19 vaccination for MSMEs at Cililitan Wholesale Center (PGC), Kramat Jati, East Jakarta on Wednesday (5/5). This monitoring was conducted to ensure acceleration on COVID-19 vaccination program can reach the minimum target of 8.8 million people.
Vaccination will be held to 3,000 people until the next four days
"Vaccination will be held to 3,000 people until the next four days, consisting of market traders, employees, MSMEs, and others. I have checked everything earlier, there are no problems, no side effects, and all participants are served well, quickly, and accurately. The table is limited to two tables in general. Hopefully it can accelerate our efforts to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission in Jakarta. Thank you for PGC, Kramat Jati Health Center, and the hospital involved," he said in press conference as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release.
He also conveyed that in general, vaccination development in Jakarta has been properly regulated and supervised in markets, malls, and tourist sites.
"Journalists, athletes, health workers, TNI, police officers have received vaccines. In Jakarta, more than 3.5 million people have received vaccines. We will continue to reach target of 8.8 million," he stated.
Jakarta Government, he added, always urged residents to be disciplined in implementing health protocol. Ahead of Eid, residents were asked for not going to their hometown (mudik). He reminded that COVID-19 cases had increased greatly due to five long holidays in 2020 and earlier this year.
"Therefore, central government has adopted homecoming ban policy and we strongly support it. Not only ASN, TNI, Police, but we encourage all of our citizens for not going to their hometown. We remind them to love their families, parents, grandparents, everyone. Officials are prohibited to hold open house. Don't carry out Takbir Keliling (going around while chanting Takbir). Let's be grateful for Eid with virtual gathering. God willing, it will not reduce its value and meaning," he explained.
While monitoring COVID-19 vaccination at PGC, Ariza was accompanied by East Jakarta Health Sub-agency's Health Service Section Head, dr. Inu Harimurti; Kramat Jati Health Center (Puskesmas) Head, dr. Inda; PGC Commissioner, Wahyu Dewanto; PGC GM, Akub Sudarsa; PGC Board of Directors, Soni Kusumo and Tety; Jakarta Council (DPRD) Gerindra Faction Chairperson, Rani Mauliani; and East Jakarta Deputy Mayor, Hendra Hidayat.
