Thousand Islands Regent, Junaedi, welcomed and released the assignment of 10 ambassadors for Tarawih night prayer Imams who will carry out their duties in Thousand Islands.
" They will serve as Imams in residential island mosques to improve the quality of worship, especially Tarawih prayers"
According to him, it was the result of collaboration between the Jakarta administration and Baznas Bazis with the Institute for Language and Science of the Quran (LBIQ).
"They will serve as Imams in residential island mosques to improve the quality of worship, especially Tarawih prayers," he expressed, after the handover and release procession at An-Ni'mah Mosque, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district, Monday (4/26).
Jakarta LBIQ's Library and Publication Division Head, Ahmad Munthoi added that those Imams were selected after participating in an open selection.
"They will receive an honorarium by Rp 750,000, including lodging and meals by Rp 350,000. It will be paid when they served as an Imam," he stated.
