As many as 1,637 or 48.33 percent from total 3,387 elderly residents in Kebon Pala Urban Village, Makasar, East Jakarta have been injected with COVID-19 vaccines.

Kebon Pala Urban Village Head, Faisal Rizal stated, his side has provided dynamic and static vaccination programs for elderly, both for first and second doses.
"As of today, there are 1,637 of total target 3,387 elderly residents who have been vaccinated. It means its progress has reached 48.33 percent," he explained, Wednesday (4/14).
According to him, vaccination service for elderly is provided every day in three different locations within 12 RWs and 144 RTs. Currently, this service is provided at Kebon Pala Urban Village Health Center (Puskesmas), SMPN 275 and SMAN 48 Pinang Ranti.
"In order to achieve the maximum target, we hold vaccination every day, even on Saturdays and Sundays," he said.
His side also facilitates elderly by providing shuttle service using school buses through collaboration with Jakarta Transportation Agency's School Transportation Service Unit (UPAS).
"Even PKK cadres, dasawisma, and RT/RW administrators also escort the elderly using their vehicles," he added.
He informed, many elderly people have to postpone their vaccination because they do not pass the medical examination because they have comorbidities such as high blood pressure, increased blood sugar, heart disease, and others.
