The Grogol Petamburan Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit, West Jakarta has managed to collect 300 sacks containing mud from the water channel on Jalan Hadiah, RT 01/02, Jelambar.
This action has been ongoing since yesterday and is targeted to be complete today
Grogol Petamburan Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head Agus disclosed, it was carried out to follow up on requests from residents of RW 02 Jelambar Urban Village. Dredging itself was conducted to 300 meters with 0.60 meters width and 1 meter width.
"The thick of mud reaches 60 cm. This action has been ongoing since yesterday and is targeted to be complete today," he expressed, Thursday (3/25).
He furthered that those sacks would be disposed to Ancol area and a land in Grogol Petamburan.
"By so, the channel is expected to accommodate rainwater in large quantities in order to prevent flooding when it rains," he hoped.
