A total of 161 elderly people, spread across six urban villages in Pancoran Sub-district, South Jakarta, have already registered and are ready to undergo COVID-19 vaccination.

Pancoran Sub-district Puskesmas Head, Sri Lenita said, to smoothen it, dozens of medics had been alerted to take care of enrollment, screening, injection and post-injection observation.

She explained it was conducted by implementing health protocols by requiring the use of masks, washing hands and maintaining physical distancing.

Patients who had got vaccine should undergo prior observation for 30 minutes to ensure that they were in good condition.

"It is hoped that they will have immunity thus they are not easily exposed to COVID-19," he hoped.
