According to Frans Agustinus, Division Head for Management of Flood Control Facilities, there were hundreds of pumps and they c
onsisted of mobile, portable, and stationary pumps."We prepare them every day, including routine maintenance," he expressed, Thursday (2/18).
He detailed, the mobile pumps consisted of 15 truck pumps with 4.8 cubic meters capacity, 9 trailer pumps with 2.6 cubic meters capacity, 5 alkaline truck pumps with 2.4 cubic meters capacity, and 6 alkaline trailer pumps with 0.42 cubic meters capacity.
There were also portable pumps, consisting of floating pumps, jetfire pumps and medical machines that were on standby in each sub-district. Especially for Kelapa Gading and Cilincing sub-districts, there were three floating pumps, three jetfire pumps, and two emergency pumps.
Further in Koja, Tanjung Priok, Pademangan and Penjaringan sub-districts, each of them had three floating pumps, two jetfire pumps, and two analog pumps.
"Then at the Maintenance Division, there are three floating pumps, two jetfire pumps and five analog pumps," he said.
He also dispatched 133 stationer pumps and 47 pump houses with 517 operators. To maximize them, he had collaborated with local urban villages and sub-districts in handling inundation and flooding.
"We also have the 24-hour officers in three shifts. Each shift works eight hours, so we make sure all pumps run normally," he stated.
