Celebrating Chinese New Year, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol will hold lion dance (barongsai) attraction in water at Sea World Ancol's main aquarium on February 12-14, at 13:30. Barongsai attraction can also be seen virtually via Instagram account @seaworld.ancol and Ancol Taman Impian Youtube channel.

Taman Impian Jaya Ancol Marketing Director, Febrina Intan said, this attraction features Chinese New Year's icon, namely barongsai that is uniquely presented in Sea World Ancol's giant aquarium that tells story about YinYang: Living in Harmony.
"This attraction features two barongsai in red and yellow colors. They symbolized Yin and Yang, a symbol of harmony that maintain balance and protect all living things," she stated, Thursday (2/11).
Through this story, her side wants to convey the message about harmony in life. Moreover, she expects the figure of barongsai in the story who is passionate and trying its best to survive can inspire people in facing the current COVID-19 pandemic.
"This attraction gives us message and hopes thus we can survive and get through it well," she added.
Taman Impian Jaya Ancol has also installed various decoration with ornaments dominated by red, including lanterns in every corners to enliven the Chinese New Year.
PT. Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Corporate Communication, Rika Lestari mentioned, underwater lion dance attraction can be watched at Sea World Ancol and online.
Thus people can watch the attraction from home due to strict protocols implementation and restriction on number of visitors in tourist destination.
"It is in line with government's policy during the Enforcement of Micro-scale Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) to reduce activities outside home," she conveyed.
For information, Ancol is still open to public while prioritizing proper health protocols. Besides, this year's Chinese New Year celebration is held with a simple concept. Thus it still can entertain people without causing crowds, considering it is still in pandemic.
Before visiting Ancol, her side reminded important things that should be known and implemented when visiting Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, namely:
1. Visitors should buy tickets online
Tickets purchasing for Ancol's gate and recreation units in Ancol should be carried out online at www.ancol.com. If the quota is still available, visitors can immediately buy the tickets. But if the quota is full upon arrival, visitors can reschedule their visit.
2. Limiting quota with maximum 25 percent and operating hours
In accordance with Disparekraf Decree (SK) No. 16/2021, number of visitors at Taman Impian Jaya Ancol is limited up to 25 percent and operating hours is limited at 06:00-20:00. Dunia Fantasi (Dufan) operating hours start from 10:00-17:00, while 10:00-16:30 for Ocean Dream Samudra and Sea World Ancol.
3. Implementing 3M and maintaining safe distance
Taman Impian Jaya Ancol management requires all visitors to implement 3M health protocols by wearing standard surgical mask and standard two-layer cloth mask as specified in Article 3 Paragraph (1) of Pergub No. 3/2021, maintaining safe distance and washing hands with soap before and after activities. Moreover, Ancol management has also installed social distancing signs in all recreation units, such as in Beach area by installing special box as seat divider for visitors and floor signs at Dunia Fantasi, Ocean Dream Samudra and Sea World Ancol to manage distance between visitors in queue and show lines. Not only in recreation areas, Ancol Management also implemented social distancing and limited capacity in all restaurants located in Taman Impian Jaya Ancol area.
4. Enforcing regulations together with three pillars to discipline visitors, partners, and employees in Ancol area. Management collaborates with Satpol PP, TNI, and Police to conduct patrols, remind, and give sanction to visitors and partners who violated health protocols. Sanctions are given in form of social work by cleaning public facilities and administrative fines.
5. Checking body temperature
Upon arrival, visitors' body temperature will be checked by officers. If it exceeds 37.3 degrees Celsius, they will be asked to reschedule their visit.
