In 2020, South Jakarta Library and Archive (Pusip) Sub-agency distributed 200 reading books that can be borrowed by public through Inisiatif Keluarga Ringkas Aksara (IKRA) program.
We hope IKRA program can provide access to people to develop their reading hobby
South Jakarta Pusip Sub-agency Head, Evita Dwi Saiverda mentioned, her side initiated IKRA program to improve people's interest in reading book amid of COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, this program was only implemented in Pondok Pinang and Kebayoran Lama Selatan Urban Villages, Kebayoran Lama.
"We lend 100 reading books to each urban villages," she said, Friday (1/22).
In this year, her side plans to add 18 urban villages for this program. Each urban villages will hold an activity with total 100 books. PPKK cadres in each urban villages will assist collecting data on book borrowing.
"We are still discussing the area. We hope IKRA program can provide access to people to develop their reading hobby in the midst of pandemic," she closed.
