Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, inducted Marullah Matali as the new Secretary City on Monday (1/18). Matali was announced after achieving the highest score in every test he participated in.

The governor assessed, the open selection stage had gone through clear legal basis and procedures, such as referring to the 2014 ASN Law and 2014 Ministerial Regulation, as well as Government Regulation number 11/2014 on Civil Servant Management, as well as proposing recommendations for open selection to KASN on open selection for the position of City Secretary.
"Those involved in the selection process are also based on a Governor's Instruction, that all those who have and meet the requirements must undergo the selection. Alhamdulillah today we have got the result," he expressed, at Jakarta City Hall, Monday (1/18).
He hoped that he could carry out new mandate, especially during the crisis period amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
"To him, we are still faced with a health crisis situation due to COVID-19. Jakarta administration must also be able to restore health conditions - a weakened economy in order to smoothen the social conditions of Jakarta residents in the days ahead. We also want to pursue all development targets in the RPJMD and in the KSD, as well as in all directions, moreover we must build a collaborative working atmosphere," he explained.
He also expressed his appreciation to the Jakarta Economic Affairs Bureau Head Sri Haryati who had run her duty as the acting City Secretary on October 7 until the position was officially mandated to Matali.
"H e worked hard, particularly amid the pandemic, so I once again say thank you for your contribution," he added.
City Secretary Marullah Matali uttered, the mandate that had been given would be carried out well, and invited employees to work together to overcome all crises caused by the coronavirus.
"Therefore, we hope that all employees will be more compact thus all obstacles in carrying out the governor's vision and mission can be minimized during the pandemic," he stressed.
Its inauguration was also witnessed by General Secretary for Home Ministry, Muhammad Hudori; KASN Chairman, Agus Pramusinto; Jakarta Vice Governor, Ahmad Riza Patria and his ranks; Jakarta DPRD Chairman, Prasetio Edi Marsudi and his ranks; representatives of Forkopimda; DPR Member, Abraham Lunggana; DPD representative member, Sylviana Murni; and public figures.
