Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) noted, total fish sales transaction at Muara Angke Fish Auction Place (TPI) in 2020 reached Rp 1,323,925,092,825.
Total fish caught last year reaches 36,716,456 kilograms
"Total fish caught last year reaches 36,716,456 kilograms with total price around Rp 1,323,925,092,825," said Suharini Eliawati, Acting Head of Jakarta KPKP Agency, on Friday (1/15).
At TPI, fish supplied from fishermen in Cilincing, Muara Baru, Marunda, Kalibaru, Kamal, Muara Angke, and Thousand Islands.
According to her, fish product prices didn't experience significant increase during Covid-19 pandemic, thus it still became people's main alternative for protein intake.
"It makes fish favored by people who want to get source of animal protein from fish products since the price is affordable," she conveyed.
