In 2020, Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Agency's Center for Marine Cultivation and Conservation (PBKL) succeeded in restocking total 21,090 fish fingerlings in Thousand Islands waters, where 2,000 of them were clown fish.

Jakarta KPKP Agency's PBKL Marine Conservation Implementation Unit Head, Cecep Hermawan conveyed, that restocking exceeded last year's target of 20,000 fish fingerlings.
"We have exceeded restocking target of 20,000 fingerlings with 1,400 clown fish," he added, Friday (1/8).
In this year, his side targeted to restock 22,500 fish fingerlings, where 20,000 fish for consumption and 2,500 ornamental fish.
"Hopefully we can realize and exceed the target like last year. Restocking is needed to maintain ecological balance and fish availability in Thousand Islands waters," he mentioned.
