Firefighters spray disinfectant to sanitize the main Untung Jawa Island Pier in Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands Sub-district, Thousand Islands, as a preventive measure against the COVID-19.

North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency's Sector 8 Head Eko Mahendro said, this pier is an in-and-out access for locals and tourists who want to vacation on Untung Jawa Island.

"It is done to follow up a request from the Untung Jawa Island Urban Village," he expressed, Tuesday (1/5).

It was focused on all pier facilities and infrastructure plus the berthing vessels.

"Today we spend 15 liters of disinfectant liquid," he stated.
