Jakarta Satpol PP deployed 1,200 personnel to monitor people's activities on New Year's Eve in order to anticipate crowds.

Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Arifin conveyed, thousands personnel will be placed in crowded spots that have potential to transmit Covid-19 such as cafes, restaurants, and hotels.

"On New Year's Eve, we will deploy around 1,200 personnel who will monitor the crowd and health protocols implementation at several locations," he informed, Thursday (12/31).

His side will also deploy number of personnel along Sudirman-Thamrin area to prohibit vehicle convoys, crowds, and fireworks.

"Personnel who are on standby along Sudirman-Thamrin will take action immediately when we see convoys and crowds," he asserted.
