Thousand Islands Regent Junaedi has advised the public to remain at home during New Year holidays due to potential COVID-19 transmission.

As a guide, he issued Regent's Call number 480/2020 on control of community activities in prevention of COVID-19 on Christmas and New Year holidays.
He explained, starting December 8 to January 8, they should stay home and reduce any activities outside the home, except for urgent.
"If it is urgent, they have to comply with health protocols by using masks, washing hands before and after doing activities, as well as maintain social distancing and avoid the crowd," he asserted, Wednesday (12/30).
It also applied to business actors in the tourism sector. They were also required to comply with the rules about operating hours and visiting capacity.
