The Center for Marine Cultivation and Conservation (PBKL) under Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Agency, conducted a restocking of 1,700 white snapper seeds in the waters of Tidung Island, South Thousand Islands Sub-district.
It is an effort to maintain the balance and availability of fish in the waters of the Thousand Islands
PBKL's Sea Conversation Executing Unit Head Cecep Hermawan said, the white snapper in the waters had about 3-5 centimeters in size.
"Fish restocking is an effort to maintain the balance and availability of fish in the waters of the Thousand Islands," he expressed, Monday (12/28).
During February to December, he added, the agency had restocked 10,180 fish seeds in the waters.
"To release them, we have involved the Tidung Island Sahabat Semata organization," he stated.
