Thousand Islands Regent, Junaedi inaugurated floating restaurant in miniature pond located in Pramuka Island, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district.

Construction of this floating restaurant was began on November 14, 2020 through corporate social responsibility (CSR) program.
Through collaboration with private sector through CSR program, he expected it to give positive impacts on improving people's welfare.
"Hopefully, through CSR program, it can improve people's economy by optimizing culinary potential of Thousand Islands," he stated, Sunday (12/20).
He hopes this program can be sustained and other companies can contribute by building restaurants or culinary centers in 10 residential islands that can also be tourist destinations in Thousand Islands.
"Floating restaurants in other islands can raise the unique culinary potential of each islands and become widely known to tourists," he said.
According to him, some islands' culinary and traditional foods can be offered to the tourists, such as typical food of Panggang Island called Pucuwe, squid stick from Lancang Island and Pari Island, seaweed food specialties and kepiting rembulan (moon crab) from Kelapa Island and Harapan Island, special salted Selar fish from Sebira Island, and other traditional foods or snacks made from breadfruit from Tidung Island and Untung Jawa Island.
"We hope community through urban village can take good advantages of this floating restaurants, maintain its cleanliness and hospitality. Thus tourists can feel comfortable and enjoy their vacation in Pramuka Island," he conveyed.
Panggang Island Urban Village Head, Pepen Kuswandi mentioned, this floating restaurant has size of 3 x 20 square meters and built on miniature pond of Pramuka Island which equipped with 3 x 8 square meters gazebo.
"Management of mini restaurant will be handed over to local residents, especially to empower youth and street vendors (PKL) who have abilities according to the restaurant needs," he closed.
