One neighborhood unit (RT) was flooded after heavy rains lashed the capital on Sunday (1/6), the Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) said.

Jakarta BPBD's Center for Disaster Data and Information (Pusdatin) Head Mohammad Insaf said, based on the data gathered at 12 PM, the flooded region was in East Jakarta, precisely in Gedong Urban Village with a water level of 10-15 cm.

Until now his party was continuing to coordinate with local urban village and sub-district heads to soon deploy the PPSU or the Water Resources (SDA) Task Force personnel to handle the inundation.

"We keep coordinating to make the water recede quickly," he stated.
