In the midst of COVID-19 pandemic, Jakarta Government continues to provide transparent information for public. Information disclosure regarding COVID-19 cases in Jakarta is an innovation that has led Jakarta Government to receive another award as Informative Qualified Regional Government from Central Information Commission (KIP). Jakarta Government has won this award for three times in a row after winning it in 2018 and 2019.
" Alhamdulillah, this year we managed to score a hat trick by winning Public Information Openness Award 2020"
This award was given at Public Information Openness Award 2020 which held virtually on Wednesday (11/25).
Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan conveyed, this award is the result of joint work between all ranks in Jakarta Government and residents to deliver products of public information disclosure which prioritize transparency and accountability.
"Alhamdulillah, this year we managed to score a hat trick by winning Public Information Openness Award 2020 for Informative Public Agency Classification category," he said after receiving award announced virtually as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release, on Thursday (11/26).
According to him, achievements made within three years in a row are responsibility that should be maintained and even increased by re-creating innovations and breakthroughs in public information disclosure field, as well as improvement in public services and good governance.
"This (KIP Award) is our achievement that should be grateful for, but more importantly, it should be maintained and improved. By continuing works, innovations and breakthroughs that are in line with today's challenges," he mentioned.
He explained, one form of information disclosure related to COVID-19 pandemic which carried out by Jakarta Government is to provide online channel that can facilitate people to access information through corona.jakarta.go.id site and Jakarta Kini (JAKI) app. This channel not only provides the latest COVID-19 cases information, but also encourages all parties to collaborate in helping those who affected by the pandemic.
"Public disclosure products continue to develop. Such as our speeds to adapt and make a breakthrough platform that facilitates the need of transparent information related to COVID-19 pandemic. Besides, this platform also provides a space for those who want to help others who affected by COVID-19," he stated.
Long before the pandemic, Jakarta Government enacted Gubernatorial Regulation No. 175/2016 concerning Public Information Services, where information services were given directly through public information service desks and rely on website-based information technology innovations and PPID app which available for iOS and Android users. Jakarta PPID also had a team to assist community in obtaining optimal information services every day.
In addition, Jakarta Government also provided open data through Jakarta Open Data Portal at data.jakarta.go.id. Jakarta Open Data Portal is an innovation to provide updated public information periodically. Collaboration was also carried out by involving all Regional Apparatuses Organizations (OPD) in Jakarta Province. Each OPD is committed to provide data which valid and easy to be reused by public.
For information, Jakarta Government has won the Regional Government with Informative Qualification based on number of indicators, namely website development, public information announcements, public information services, and pubic information provisions. And the results, Jakarta Government scored 99.07.
