The progress of stilling basin construction work on Jalan Satria Raya, Jelambar, Grogol Petamburan which carried out by West Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has reached 60 percent.
We build this stilling basin to minimize inundation in Jelambar Urban Village
Grogol Petamburan SDA Unit Head, Agus conveyed, this stilling basin with length 5.5 meters, width 1.5 meters, and height 3 meters is expected to accommodate water with volume up to 25 qubic meters.
"We build this stilling basin to minimize inundation in Jelambar Urban Village," he explained, Friday (11/20).
For the construction, his side deployed 25 personnel from Grogol Petamburan SDA Unit.
Anticipating inundation and flood in the area, his side not only built stilling basin, but also prepared water pump that can drain the water to Grogol River.
"We estimate to finish building this stilling basin by the end of November," he stated.
