Jakarta Government continues to add more JakWIFI points in Jakarta. Until this day, there are 6,050 JakWIFI points in all Jakarta regions.
JakWIFI is focused on being installed in slum and densely populated settlements
Jakarta Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Agency (Diskominfotik)'s Data Communication Network (JKD) Division Head, Aditia Prana Kusuma mentioned, his side will focus to build JakWIFI points in densely populated settlements.
"JakWIFI is focused on being installed in slum and densely populated settlements. JakWIFI can be accessed within 25-50 meters with average speed of 50 Mbps," he explained, Thursday (11/19).
According to him, JakWIFI is installed using City Budget (APBD) and through collaboration with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
"Currently, there are around 1,200 points that use APBD funds, while the remaining is still on progress," he admitted.
