Tidal flood which occurred in Muara Angke, Pluit, Penjaringan, North Jakarta began to recede after 7 mobile pumps were deployed to handle inundation in several locations.
It has receded today
Pluit Urban Village Head, Rosiwan conveyed, tidal flood in Muara Angke occurred since yesterday with height of 20 meters. However, the flood remains inundated Blok Empang, RW 22, Pluit.
"It has receded today. This afternoon, only Blok Empang that is still inundated about 3 centimeters high," he informed, Tuesday (11/17).
According to him 20 PPSU Personnel were deployed to clean up channels that leads to Muara Angke Reservoir and drain water using one unit of stationer pump located in the reservoir.
On the other hand, North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency Head, Adrian Mara Maulana said, his side deployed 7 mobile pump units with capacity 250 cubic meters per second to overcome inundation in Muara Angke. From 7 pumps, 2 pumps located at Muara Angke Pump House, 3 pumps in Gendong River, and 2 units in Asin River.
From those three locations, his side also placed 2 mobile pumps in Nizam Zaman Fishing Port and Sunda Kelapa Port. Personnel on the field also repair leakage on the embankment on Jalan Pluit Karang Ayu along 300 meters.
"In the future, embankment will be permanently casted. Currently stationary pumps in Muara Angke and Pluit Reservoirs have been activated and hopefully inundation can recede by this afternoon," he stated.
