The Cilincing Sub-district, North Jakarta sends collaboration request to the private sector to participate in helping accelerate flood prevention in its area during the rainy season. That is by repairing the macro channels and working on the Belibis Reservoir and Rawa Malang Reservoir.
Today we hold a coordination meeting on flood mitigation in the rainy season. We invite them (business world) to collaborate with us
Cilincing Sub-district Head Muhammad Andri said the collaboration was based on the impact of the floods, which affected the economy of the business world. The flood pumping system from inside the company to the macro channel actually had an impact on flooding in the surrounding environment, as the drainage system could not accommodate water.
"Today we hold a coordination meeting on flood mitigation in the rainy season. We invite them (business world) to collaborate with us," he expressed, Monday (11/16).
He explained it was directed at improving the macro channel and the construction of two reservoirs. One of them was by lending heavy equipment thus improvement to the macro channel and the construction of two reservoirs could be quickly realized in the near future.
"The government needs time due to limited facilities and infrastructure. That's why we invite you to collaborate for better drainage system," he explained.
Cilincing Sub-district's Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit Head Tjahyono Budi Setiawan explained, the Belibis Reservoir construction had touched 1.5 out of 3.8 hectares land and Rawa Malang Reservoir touched 1.4 out of 7.8 hectares land.
He uttered the Belibis Reservoir could be a temporary storage location for water flows from Gubuk Genteng River which is a continuation of Cakung Lama River. As for the Rawa Malang Reservoir could accommodate water from Rawa Malang River, Gendong River and Nusa Kirana connecting channel before being flowed to the sea through Cakung Drain River.
"If we get the equipment, they will be completed quickly. Currently we only have two and need more," he stated.
