Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency deployed 38 personnel to clean 5 channels in Tanah Abang Sub-district.
In total, it reaches about 1,859 meters channel in five locations
Tanah Abang Sub-district Water Resources Head, Eli Menawan Sari conveyed, 38 personnel were deployed to Petamburan, Kebon Melati, Kebon Kacang, Gelora, and Bendungan Hilir Urban Villages to dredge mud sedimentation from connecting (phb) channels and drains in residential areas.
They dredged channels on Jalan Administrasi I LAN, Bendungan Hilir Urban Village; Krukut River on Jalan Kebon Pala I, Kebon Melati Urban Village; Jalan Administrasi II, Petamburan Urban Village, Jalan Kebon Kacang IX, Kebon Kacang Urban Village; and Jalan Asia Afrika, Gelora Urban Village.
"In total, it reaches about 1,859 meters channel in five locations with mud thickness about 10-50 centimeters," she informed, Thursday (11/12).
Her side hopes mud dredging can increase channel's capacity thus it can hold more water when the rain falls.
"We remind people for not littering channels thus it won't get clogged," he said.
